Put your organization on distribution list for Pima County surplus property

Pima County’s Procurement Department isrn seeking 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations that might be interested in receiving surplus property from the county.rn
Procurement maintains a list of nonprofits that have registered to receive notifications of available surplus. When property becomes available, a notice is sent to all registered nonprofits at the same time. All surplus property is distributed on a first-come basis.
Surplus items can include everything from computer equipment and desks to office equipment and library furniture.
“Lately the libraries have had quite a few items available, including tables, chairs, wood shelving units, lockers, filing cabinets and miscellaneous office supplies,” said Barbara Christensen, a contracts/surplus program coordinator at Procurement. “Currently, there are two outdoor patio benches that are very heavy.”
Christensen said Procurement is doing more to publicize the surplus property program so that fewer items go to waste.
“My goal is to have as much interest in this surplus property as possible so we can find organizations that can use the items vs. throwing them away,” she said.

- Any publication of information stating the services provided to the residents of Pima County.rn
- Copy of the organization’s 501(c)(3) to show the status of the organization as a nonprofit within the state of Arizona.
