Federal 2025 Executive Actions

After his January 20 inauguration, President Trump signed dozens of executive orders (EOs) covering a broad range of issues, including diversity, equity, and inclusion programs; government grants and contracts; civic engagement; immigration; and certain nonprofit subsectors.

The White House Office of Management and Budget on Jan. 27, 2025 issued a directive to all federal agency directors to pause all federal grants and contracting effective Jan. 28, 2025 at 5 p.m. Eastern. This “temporary pause will provide the Administration time to review agency programs and determine the best uses of the funding for those programs consistent with the law and the President’s priorities,” according to the memo.

These actions are being challenged in court and will directly impact the nonprofit and philanthropy sector. AZ Impact for Good created this resource page for you and your organization to stay informed, up to date, and be provided the opportunity to work with other organizations towards solutions.

AZ Impact for Good is closely monitoring developments related to these, and forthcoming, executive orders that impact our members. We will continue to keep you informed as we learn additional details.

Please note: While many of the resources are available to the public, some resources are available exclusively to our members (in blue). Interested in becoming a member? Click HERE.
